Tiger's eye is the commercial name of the yellowish variety and flock of pseudo-crocidolite, with impurities of iron oxides, which occurs in South Africa. Variety of agate with very dark to black bands and white bands, its majority obtained by dyeing. Besides Brazil, it is also found in Australia, Burma, India, Namibia and USA.

When cut into cabochon, it shows on the surface a narrow luminous band reminiscent of a cat's pupil.

The Arabs believed that the stone brought joy and sharpened the senses. Also known as a symbol of wealth and success.
