Mother-of-pearl or Nacar come directly from the sea and is the inner layer of shells that covers the interior of some molluscs, with composition similar to the pearl, being its constituent material. It occurs mainly in Australia, the USA, New Zealand and China.
The mother-of-pearl is considered an organic gem, just like Amber. Its colors are white, beige and gray.
